For approximately 10 years, the Smith & Wesson shield gun has practically become an institution among carry guns. Smith and Wesson then created the M2.0 series of their M&P poly striker guns with some improvements.

The improvements are:

  • a more refined trigger for a smoother pull, crisper break, and a more audible, more tactile reset
  • different grip stipling to improve the grip on the pistol giving it a rougher, almost sand-paper like handle. This gives you better purchase when gripping the pistol.
  • machining on the slide has been altered as well, with a softer bevel on the slide and some fishscale serrations toward the end of the slide. This is for better purchase for press-checking.
